Update
The goal of Operation Ultrasound is to save babies' lives by encouraging their mothers, who might be abortive, to have a free 3D ultrasound session.
Statistics show that a young woman who is uncertain about keeping her child will choose life between 79% and 90% of the time when she is shown a 3D ultrasound image of her baby. We want to take advantage of these statistics by making a 3D ultrasound available to as many uncertain girls as possible.
We are working closely with Rogue Valley Pregnancy Resource Center and are currently in the process of developing new sources of 3D ultrasounds.
Our May 2005 Radio-Thon on KDOV was extremely successful because we were able to make a compelling case for $30 directed donations. Donors understood that a mere $30 had the possibility of saving a baby and people were overwhelmingly generous. We raised over $15,000 in one day for this project, which is a testament to strong pro-life sentiment in our community.
Our current challenge is in marketing Operation Ultrasound so that potentially abortive young women understand the benefit that is available to them.
Because the original donations were dedicated to the actual cost of the ultrasounds, we DO still have a need for unrestricted donations to this project for marketing costs.
